The 2023 Wheatland Farm Gala Dinner sounds like an exciting and elegant event with a touch of rustic charm. Here's a summary of the event details and what's on the menu for the night:
Event Schedule:
Registration: Starts at 5:30 pm.
At The Wheatland Farm Coffee Shop
Guests will be welcomed by valet service and directed to the Coffee Shop for registration, adjacent to the poolside cocktail reception. Those staying for cocktails only can proceed to the pool garden.
Golden Hour Cocktails & Hunt Review:
From 5:30 pm to 6:45 pm at the Wheatland Farm Pool Garden & Manor House Lawn.
At 5:45 pm, The Goshen Hounds, in their hunting attire with riders on horses, will make a grand entrance. They'll showcase the countryside's allure by galloping around Wheatland Lake and demonstrating hunting horn techniques. Guests can enjoy signature cocktails and hors d'oeuvres during this time.
Dinner, Dancing & More:
From 7 pm to 9:30 pm, guests will be ushered into the Upper Great Barn Event Center. Here, they will enjoy gourmet local cuisine and fine wines while listening to inspiring presentations by Wheatland Farm students and staff. The evening will continue with dancing, live and silent auctions, musical entertainment by the live band Main Event, and a guest appearance by Irish Tenor Mark Forrest. The live auction will be hosted by Mr. Brian Damewood and co-hosted by MC Mr. Conor Forrest.
Menu:
The menu for the dinner portion of the event includes gourmet local cuisine and fine wines on a sumptuous and carefully curated menu that showcases the best of local flavors and ingredients. The menu includes seasonal fare such as: butternut squash soup, choice of red wine bistro filet or vegetarian offerings including cauliflower steak and ricotta ravioli with wild mushrooms; and perfect fall desserts featuring apple crisp tartlets and mini sweet potatoe cheescakes. Tea, coffee, soft drinks and sparkling water will be served throughout the evening. The meal will prepared by the talented chefs from RSVP catering, to provide guests with a memorable dining experience.
